James Blunt: live in Geneva and Zurich with his new album "Airplane Mode" 

Ready for takeoff: James Blunt will release his new album "Airplane Mode" on November 6. To celebrate this, he announces a major European tour – and will perform in Geneva and Zurich in 2027. Tickets will be available from Wednesday, September 9, 2026. 

The album "Airplane Mode" features the uplifting debut single "Tastes Like Summer" and eleven other stories set to music, in which James recounts the colorful journey of life. It also includes the second recently released single, "Weight Of It All", which poignantly evokes the pressure that modern life exerts on human beings. Among the other highlights are the epic track "Circles", destined to become a classic Blunt moment, as well as the catchy groove of "Oh Daisy" and the emotional honesty of "Modern Love". 

This album marks a return to roots for an artist who never ceases to surprise. "I lost my way somewhere along the road, but I found it again in a studio in Banbury", he says about the Pig Music Studios, where most of the album was recorded. 

"Airplane Mode" was recorded with James's brilliant live band, who has accompanied him for many years, and benefits immensely from it. All the more reason to see James and his band in concert next year.
