The inauguration
The Geneva Arena opened its doors on 1 November 1995 with a concert by Johnny Hallyday, marking the start of an adventure that has never stopped since.
Built in just 10 months, this multi-purpose venue was born of the desire to give Geneva and the Lake Geneva region a venue worthy of the greatest European stages.

Elton John, Rammstein, Jean-Jacques Goldman, Muse, Céline Dion, David Bowie, Joe Cocker, Indochine, Ray Charles, AC/DC, Leonard Cohen, Rihanna, Charles Aznavour, Sting, Lenny Kravitz, Supertramp, Bruno Mars, Gorillaz…
But also the greatest comedy shows — Gad Elmaleh, Muriel Robin, Florence Foresti — and legendary musicals: Starmania, Notre Dame de Paris, Mamma Mia, Les Dix Commandements.
