Prohibited
items

Some simple rules are clearly set out in the contracts that artists negotiate with our organisers. They vary from one artist to another, but here are the ones that come up systematically and that the organiser is required to enforce.

A search is carried out at the public entrance in order to prevent anyone from entering the concert venue with:

• objects that may be dangerous (knives, umbrellas, helmets, stepladders, folding chairs, etc.),

• audiovisual recording devices (cameras, video cameras, recorders, etc.)

• glass, PET or metal containers (bottles, flasks, cans, etc.) that can be turned into projectiles.

At certain concerts, bringing in food may be prohibited.

Organisers generally set up a left-luggage point outside where these items can be handed in.

Cups may be handed out so that spectators can empty their bottle and enter the hall with their drink.
